In addition to standard administrative systems, all students will use digital learning platforms such as Moodle and Microsoft Teams throughout their academic career. Both platforms are available in a web-based as well as mobile application formats. We strongly encourage all incoming students to complete the registration, installation, and testing process well in advance.

This framework is primarily used for accessing educational materials, guides, and schedules, submitting assignments, writing midterms/exams, as well as filling out attendance sheets.

Use your EduID to log in.
(EduID is BME Directory’s Single Sign-on credential, e.g.: 12345@bme.hu.)

MS TEAMS

This framework is suitable for group chats, or sharing study materials, while its most important feature is likely the group video conferencing. Video conferences can be held by subjects, study groups, or smaller teams, ideal for on-line lectures, practical classes, asignments and consultations. In addition, you will get a free 1TB OneDrive storage.

Setting up MS Office 365 account

Once logged in at login.bme.hu, select ‘Set username for edu.bme.hu Microsoft 365′ from the menu. Set up the desired address (ending in @edu.bme.hu) and wait for the confirmation email (which might take a few hours to arrive)

Logging In

Once your Microsoft username is active on the directory page, you can open Teams.

1. Choose Log in (instead of sign up) and enter your Microsoft 365 username (e.g., sample.samantha@edu.bme.hu).
   1. The program will then redirect you to a BME login window.
   1. Log in here using your directory EduID and its corresponding password.

Installing the Apps

Once Teams is working from your browser, you can install the desktop version of the Teams app on your computer and/or the moblie version on your mobile devices. This ensures more instant messaging.
