In 2025, the Falerone Art Colony celebrated its 20th anniversary. Last year the summer drawing camp was held not in Falerone, as usual, but in Santa Vittoria in Matenano. Like Falerone, Santa Vittoria in Matenano is a hilltop medieval town in the Marche region of central Italy, located just a few kilometers away. As in previous years, the camp was attended primarily by students of the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), though students from other programs were also welcome to join. An exhibition of the works produced during the camp was organized that same summer in both Falerone and Santa Vittoria. Now, in the display cases on the second floor of the northern staircase of BME’s Central Building, we present the pages from the catalogue featuring the drawings and paintings created during the camp. The exhibition opening will also serve as a book launch. (The previous publications can be viewed here: https://faleroneartcolony.it/books.)
The 2025 art colony was led by fashion designer Zita Borszéki, painter József Zalakovács, honorary associate professor, and architect István Váli (Department of Graphics, Form and Design).
Participants: Tünde Bory, Hanna Csépke, Ágoston Györkös, Csilla Hoór, Péter Kerekes, Kinga Dalma Kovács, Piroska Könyves-Tóth, Péter Matúz, Eszter Kincső Nagy, Lili Hanna Tóth, Emma Virág.
In 2026, the Falerone Art Colony intends to continue its activities with a rich program. In the first half of July, we plan to return once again to Santa Vittoria in Matenano.
The exhibition will be opened on March 5, 2026, at 2:45 PM in the Department of Graphics, Form, and Design by Tamás Varga DLA, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture.
